This event will take place in lecture theatre B2.
In an ideal world all buildings constructed today would be "smart buildings"; intelligent spaces that use cutting edge design and construction methods, eco-friendly materials, and automated technologies to reduce environmental impact, and improve the comfort, safety and well-being of occupants.
In the real world, however, budgetary constraints and a lack of innovative thinking continue to result in buildings being built that lack "intelligence" or "green credentials".
The construction industry is therefore ripe for disruption, just like the automotive industry is being disrupted today by the likes of Tesla.
Join us on the 27th April to hear how local innovator, John Curtis is planning to make his mark within both the construction industry, and the automotive industry!
John is CEO of Revolutionall World; a state-of-the-art transport centre and visitor attraction located adjacent to the Kelpies in Falkirk (check out this video: http://bit.ly/1VJQXBP ). When it opens to the public it will become a centre of excellence for low carbon innovation that will attract millions of visitors from around the world. It will even feature a race track designed specifically for vehicles powered by renewable energy!
