    • Andy P.

umm... I thought this was next week - NEXT week I am at OSCON. This week I'm not. Gah.

      July 16, 2013

    • Nigel C.

I thought the same - put it in my calendar. Missed it. Did they change the date?

      July 22, 2013

  • Richard B.

Excellent evening because what was presented stimulated debate with diverse opinions. And then there was beer.

Two out of the Three Demo's were good. Overall it was a good evening. Still believe that the Internet of Things may only be a hobbyist Market. Why try and create a new Market, when basically you have the same market in place already. It should be the Internet of Apps. Smart Apps that talk to us and each other. Isn't that what the Internet of Things is all about.

    July 16, 2013

    • Richard F.

Well, IoT is a work in progress. There are some very smart silos (transport, logistics, retail - maybe energy and health) that are growing nicely as markets. Join these together, stir in some massive open data sets, simmer in a really engaging UX and there will be a massive uplift. What apps, services and solutions will the developers come up with? Everything from mission critical through to totally frivolous. I'm looking forward to it!

Agree with everything you said Richard, but I still don't believe that the mass market will understand IoT. But if Apple & Google use some of its elements for the introduction of Smart Apps SDK's, then it could break big.

Really appreciated Dominique's Android presentation - helped me to understand Internet of Things from a developer's point of view. And thanks again to Alexandra for hosting.

Good session - argot, NFC on android with Evrything, raspberry pi's artist in residence. Something for everyone and free beer. What's not to like?

Tonight I'm giving away a couple of Freetronics kits. To make it interesting, I'll give the kits to the most imaginative tweets about Argot from during my presentation. Follow @argotsdk and mention Argot to win.

I'm afraid I can't make this - didn't see the dates clashed before. I'll be at the Midlands IoT meetup doing the same talk!

    July 3, 2013

  • Ben W.

Looking forward to finally making it. I will be speaking about whitespace spectrum and how it's just what we need for the IoT

    June 25, 2013

    • Ben W.

Hang on, does this mean I'm double booked with speaking at the Midlands IoT meetup now?

Hi. We're looking for someone over the summer, to play with and help us test our new IoT technology. Basically doing all the fun bits and telling us when it breaks ;-) We're based near Oxford. Thought I'd post a link here, hope everyone doesn't mind. http://www.rufilla.com/site/careers/recruiting-now/

Hi Joe. Not sure if you saw my last two messages (sent privately). Please let me know if you did not. Hope to catch up with you anyway at the meetup.

      July 1, 2013

    • Joe N.

Hi Edewede, yes I saw these and replied (or so I thought...). I'm obviously not driving the Meetup site properly. Let me try again... my apologies!

  • Steven G.

Can't make the new date :(

    June 25, 2013

  • scott c.

David Ryan, if you can't make this one, why not try out IoT Midlands event in Coventry on July 16th as an alternative? You won't miss Ben Ward's whitespace talk, and you'll get to see Alexandra speaking about Good Night Lamp too!

I had offered to speak, however, thought next event was 16th of July. I won't be in London the following week. Is it too late to bring it back a week?

    Looking forward to #23
