Sura 17 Aya 53
And say to My servants to speak only what is best: For Satan does sow dissension among them: for Satan is openly an enemy to people.
All of us have been in situations where there is discord among people. It can be a family, a business, or a congregation. Dissension begins when someone starts to speak ill of another. If the other responds in kind, bad feelings multiply.
This aya advises us to choose the best words. We will then have strong relationships. Any purpose we have is achieved with the help of other people. The purpose can be to raise a family, to run a business, or build an organization. Its success depends on how people feel about each other. There can be many sources of friction or suspicion but we have to take the responsibility of creating harmony. You have to actively foster harmony and good feeling by using good words to describe the people who are with you.
