Stream you soon!
From streams to time series: Kafka meets InfluxDB
InfluxCloud provides InfluxDB as a service: you can start using the most powerful time series database for free, and it's easy to use, fast, serverless, with elastic scalability. In this talk, we'll dig into InfluxCloud's read and write path, and how we use Kafka to achieve scalable writes and reads. While Kafka can express complex data processing pipelines with Kafka Streams, InfluxData developed a new query language called Flux in order to do so. We'll discover how Flux works with the eyes of Kafka Streams, and study its integration with Kafka as a producer.
Lorenzo is a Software Engineer at InfluxData, the company that created the InfluxDB time series database. He worked at both Flux, the new query language crafted by the company, and to the infrastructure behind InfluxDB Cloud, InfluxData's cloud offering. He is fond of processing data, especially if streams are involved.
