FREE membership and meetings. Members discuss stories in the latest anthology The Best American Short Stories, published yearly by Houghton-Mifflin.

All members will be emailed the title of the storyin The Best American Short Stories, 2018 to be discussed at the next meetup . The meetup host will typically open the discussion by introducing the story author’s skillful use of craft elements – reading the story as a writer. Attendance limited to the first 10 members who RSVP “yes.”

The Best American Short Stories series has been published each year since 1915.
In 2015, 100 Years of the Best American Short Stories was published, comprising 40 short stories, selected by Lorrie Moore and Heidi Pitlor. See the meetup organizer’s book-review of the 100 years series on amazon.
