Re: [italian-504] Meetup Cancelled: Novembre - Qui Parliamo Italiano

Dear Giovanni

Ciao, come stai?

Sorry to hear about this...you did a great job with it and I laud you for your efforts.  I too was a quite irregular...although I very much enjoyed it.  Problem for me is that either with my work travel, or vacation time this year...messed up a lot of possible Italian nights.  I know how hard it is to get a group of people together!

I would be very happy to continue with this, in whatever way, in the future, if you or anyone else decides to keep it going.

I can see the point about being in our own space...although I would suggest that we could also just go ahead and do it at one of the nice Italian coffee places here in town....my suggestions would be either Leva near campus, or Tesoro on 104th ave west of McKewan.

alla prossima
Rick

Novembre - Qui Parliamo Italiano, scheduled to occur on November 20,[masked]:00 PM has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

I started this Meetup group in January 2009, because there was no group of this kind in Edmonton. Renting a room in the library gives us a regular, safe place to practise Italian (rather than doing it in a coffee shop.

Unfortunately the attendance record in the past 10 months has not been encouraging: such as members who responded "yes" but changed their mind the last minute, or not showing up, or members who do not respond at all.

If we have at least 5-6 people attending the next Meetups this group will continue. If not, then the Italian Meetup in Edmonton will be dissolved. At least I tried.

If you have further questions, or any suggestions to make this group more successful, you can email me through the "Contact Organizer" link on Meetup: http://italian.meetup.com/504/suggestion/
