Poconos Hiking Day - about 10 miles 1800ft elevation UPDATED 6/15

We are going to hike the Broad Mountain Loop trail
the parking lot is like 8 minutes from where we are camping (for those camping)
(probably 20 minutes with how long it takes to get from the actual site to the lot)
and will be about 10 miles and about 1800ft of elevation
NOTE: the first and last 2 miles will be a little boring but the rest will be good

RAIN OR SHINE! yes, I've decided to say this is rain or shine as I did the test hike in the rain and the waterfalls will be better in the rain anyway besides, for the campers, what else are we going to do
CAMPING IS FULL

Bring sunscreen, water, snacks, tasty beverages and if you think you'll go into any water (creek or waterfall), plan to wear something you can get wet, and water shoes/sandless/old sneakers, etc

will cancel the tubing if there's rain but will still go it if its cloudy

DIRECTIONS:
From the exit of Roundstone campground onto Rt 93 (Hunter Street), turn right, go about 8 minutes, parking lot is on the left

From Jim Thorpe, take 209 south to Rt 93, follow 93 North (Hunter street) for about 5 minutes, parking lot will be on your right

*across the street from the parking lot we are parking at is a State Game lands shooting range - don't turn into there, but it's also good to know since you'll probably hear gun shots, don't worry, that's not active hunters

service in the this area can be spotty, make sure you have the directions saved well before you get close. Downloading offline maps is always a good idea!
