Imagine a forest full of the sounds of nature, the rustling of leaves, the songs of birds, and the layers of scents drifting from blossoms, bark, and soil. Now, imagine being there, quietly breathing beside a natural spring… and feeling the energy pulse around and through you.
Forest Breathing combines the therapeutic aspects of Forest Bathing with the ancient practice of Yogic breathing (Pranayama) and can inspire, heal and change your life on unimaginable levels – from balancing your nervous system and purifying your organs, to deep relaxation of all parts of the body, energetic healing and an opening of the heart.
Mindful breathing brings us closer to nature and is cleansing, grounding, refreshing and reflective. It is a wonderful opportunity to find peace and tranquility, and a chance to super-charge every cell of your body with living oxygen and plant energy. You’ll learn and practice Forest Breathing using pranayama yoga techniques that have been healing people for thousands of years.

NEW NOTE: We now inviting participants to try going barefoot (or wear flip-flops or thin sandals) for three reasons:
1) This forest is pristine: let's avoid carrying the seeds of invasive species into the cedar woods on the soles of our shoes (Garlic Mustard and Greater Celandine being the main culprits).
2) Going barefoot can double the benefits by allowing the Earth's magnetic energy to flow into the body.
3) Barefoot walking brings slowness, awareness and intention to each step, so that we are fully in the present moment.
...it's certainly fine to wear shoes, although we ask that the shoes are clean and free of the mud from other locations
