We are excited to announce our speakers for Interaction Design Day 2019!
We have a great panel speaking on this year's theme of Trust and Responsibility. Their short talks will be followed by a group discussion.
Michael is Louisville's first Chief Data Officer in the Office of Civic Innovation and Technology, and is working to use data to improve government performance and transparency, with responsibility for open data, citywide data strategy, and fostering employee data-driven decision-making. He has spent 14 years in civic tech, and 24 years working on internet projects. His first product as an entrepreneur was an online crime map built using open records requests and Google Maps in 2005. This grew into open data advocacy and building civic services around real-time transportation, public safety, geocoding, data standards, and APIs, and led to co-founding Louisville's first Code for America brigade. His latest focus is collaboratively building common open source tools with other governments and partners through the Open Government Coalition.
Drew is UX Designer at Samtec, where he designs software for the manufacturing floor. He has a background in Computer Science and Psychology. Outside of design, he enjoys video and board games, religious philosophy, and good bourbon.
Bree is a lead Employee Experience Engineer at Humana, and is passionate about creating great experiences at work. She was the lead Experience Engineer for Humana’s ServiceNow & Workday implementations; ranked number 1 & 2 respectively on Forbes 2018 list of Most Innovative Companies in the World. She believes there can be magic when you practice active listening, empathy building, and always ensure your end-users are grounded squarely in the center of all your work. Bree received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University and has a masters from University of Louisville. She’s been happily married for 10 years, has 2 kids, and 2 spunky miniature schnauzers.
