This tennis group is suitable for the people as below (No Beginner):

*NTRP: 3.5+; intermediate level or above, at least 5 years tennis experience.

NTRP PLAYER RATING SCALE

3.5 This player has achieved improved stroke dependability and direction on moderate pace shots, but still lacks depth and variety. This player exhibits more aggressive net play, has improved court coverage and is developing teamwork in doubles. <br>

4.0 This player has dependable strokes, including directional intent, on both forehand and backhand sides on moderate shots, plus the ability to use lobs, overheads, approach shots and volleys with some success. This player occasionally forces errors when serving and teamwork in doubles is evident.

4.5 This player has begun to master the use of power and spins and is beginning to handle pace, has sound footwork, can control depth of shots, and is beginning to vary tactics according to opponents. This player can hit first serves with power and accuracy and place the second serve and is able to rush the net successfully.

5.0 This player has good shot anticipation and frequently has an outstanding shot or attribute around which a game may be structured. This player can regularly hit winners or force errors off of short balls, can put away volleys, can successfully execute lobs, drop shots, half volleys and overhead smashes, and has good depth and spin on most second serves.

*good at stroke, volley, rob; could use slice or spin shot, also could hit smash.

*know the rules about singles match and doubles match well.

*could self judge by fair.

*respect Japanese tennis court’s manner.

*Strictly Please : Anyone if you need to make cancellation after RSVP-ed, Make it by 11 AM of the day before      event, so that wait list have chance to join.

We play weekday night’s tennis and weekend tennis.

Normally use 1 court, max to 6 people.

Not only play games, also will have some dills training.

we usually play tennis at Shinagawa Ku and Setagayaku.

besides tennis,

* we'll dining out together or go to the sports bar to watch tennis tournaments during the GS, ATP, WTA etc.

* The internal competition and team competition against some Japanese groups will be held irregularly.

please be noted that those who RSVP-ed but don't show up twice will be moved from this group.

any injury and trouble are at your own risk.


Tennis Court Rules and Etiquette

1.  Please wear appropriate attire with pocket on court. Tennis balls are prohibited to drop while playing the match.

2.  Show respect to all players and neighbors at all times.

3.  Do not retrieve a ball from another court while their point in still in progress. Please wait until they finish their point.

4.  Always be safe. Do not participate in any behavior that would risk injury to anyone else, such as throwing or hitting balls when not asked to, throwing your racquet or any other object on or off the court.

5.  Call the Score. If you’re serving, make sure to call the score before every point. This not only lets your opponent know you’re ready to serve, but also prevents score disputes later.
