Hello! Welcome to "Fun tennis in Tokyo" meetup. I'm Sho, tennis addict. I play it almost 4 days a week!
This meetup is divided into 2 groups.
- Doubles Group [The level: Beginner to Low intermediate (NTRP: 2.5 ~ 3.5)] - Singles Group [The level: NTRP3.5+]
Please read the detail of each group, and you can choose the groups according to your level and preference.
===== Doubles Group ==================== Organizer: Michihito Miyoshi Time: 2 hours
- 30 min warm‐up of short rally and long rally and serve, - Doubles match (no advantage/ 4 games each).
Max 6 participants. The level from Beginner to low Intermediate (NTRP: 2.5 ~ 3.5 * (See below)) is welcome! If you can play better than us but can adjust your play, any levels are welcome.
===== Singles Group ==================== Organizer: Sho (Freelance Web designer) Time: 2 hours
- 30 min warm‐up of short rally and long rally and serve, - Singles match (no advantage / 3 games).
Max 3 participants. The level: Intermediate (NTRP3.5 or higher)

【 Requirement 】 Your own racket
【 Place 】 We reserve a public tennis court. Our favorite places are Hibiya park, Shiba park, Sarue onshi park, Kansen-en, ...etc.
If you haven't played tennis for a long time and don't have confidence, we'll recommend that you join "Doubles group" meetup.

* NTRP(National Tennis Rating Program)
< 2.5 > This player is learning to judge where the ball is going although court coverage is weak.This player can sustain a slow rally with other players of same ability.
< 3.0 > This player is consistent when hitting medium pace shots, but is not comfortable with all strokes and lacks control when trying for directional intent, depth, or power.
< 3.5 > This player has achieved improved stroke dependability and direction on moderate pace shots, but still lacks depth and variety. This player exhibits more aggressive net play, has improved court coverage and is developing teamwork in doubles.
