100% Black Truffles Seminar & Party
A unique, unrepeatable opportunity to taste the real black truffle (and other Italian delikatessen) in Tokyo. The black truffle is highly appreciated all over the world for its unique flavor, aromatic scent and its versatility for cooking. It is a tuber that grows under the soil, in contact with various types of trees, such as oak and hazel. Trained dogs are fundamental to locate truffles. The "Pregiato" truffle of Umbria, in the centre of Italy, with its inimitable aroma, is perhaps the highest quality black truffle in the world. Pietro Badiali, Umbrian of Spoleto, lawyer and truffle searcher for hobby since many years (http://pietrobadiali.com), will explain us all about this precious tuber. We will know about its history, its diffusion, the varieties, the training of the dogs, the uses for cooking... There will be a tasting of real Umbrian black truffles through a truffles based dinner with truffle bruschetta , spaghetti with truffles... A selection of Umbrian salami and cheeses will complete the dinner. Of course there will be also Umbrian red wines to drink, talking with new friends (in Italian, English or Japanese, as you like).
