Reiki Class Forming! Komyo Reiki Level 1 Class with Peter Andrey
This is a unique opportunity to learn a Japanese style of Reiki treatment. Komyo Reiki-do is both a hands-on healing practice and a tool for spiritual self-development. In this one-day class, students will learn about the history of Reiki, and will learn how to practice it as a tool for self-healing, and as a supportive treatment for others. They will receive the Komyo Reiki-do initiations, which will open their energetic system to receive and share Reiki energy. Once initiated, the student will possess this gift for life. Peter Andrey has been a practitioner of Shiatsu and Reiki for 20 years. A former director of the Shiatsu School of Canada in Toronto, he is now a Doctoral candidate in Anthropology, whose research focuses on the production and transformation of embodied knowledge in globalizing East Asian medicines. He brings to his Reiki teaching a wealth of clinical experience and an informed understanding of Japanese medical and spiritual healing traditions. Komyo Reiki-do is a ‘keep-it-simple’ approach to Reiki—yet the deeper we go into the practice, the more we find that ‘keeping it simple’ can be difficult! Peter extends an open invitation to any who wish to explore Reiki as a pathway to ‘Komyo’—the endless Bright Light inside us. The cost for the class is ¥17000. The location for this class will be the Reading Room, a private residence in Kyoto. (Future classes may be held in Takatsuki and in Osaka--contact me if interested). If you are interested or even just curious, please sign up as 'attending.' Peter will contact prospective students to discuss the class in more detail; then you can decide whether you wish to participate. グループ概要

There is more to each of us than meets the eye.

Many people suspect that they have a hidden side, a spiritual side. Perhaps they catch a glimpse of it in a vivid dream that seems brimming with meaning, in an openhearted connection with another person, or in a moment of grace that comes unexpectedly during meditation or while on the train. But such moments can be fleeting, and like a dream the experience can fade and leave us wondering whether it was even real.

This group is for sharing resources related to the hidden and greater part of each of us. Offerings include: formal and informal workshops on the topics of dreams, inner guidance, and how to 'wake up' and recognize our spiritual experiences; as well as classes and formal training in Reiki and other modalities for bringing healing to ourselves and others.
