What is Rakugo :- )

Rakugo is like stand-up comedy, but sitting down — in a kimono!
A lone storyteller sits on a cushion and uses just a fan and a hand towel to act out all the characters in a funny (or sometimes touching) tale.

They switch voices, turn their head side to side, and bring the whole story to life — no stage, no props, just wild imagination and sharp timing.

It’s Japan’s one-person theater with a twist — and a punchline that “falls down” at the end (that’s what rakugo means)!
