Sake Tasting and Creating Your Own Mt Fuji Souvenir

This special food experience is a collaboration with Arigato Japan and Art Bar Tokyo. Enjoy learning about and tasting delicious Mt. Fuji regional rice wine paired with various foods, and then paint your own amazing Mt. Fuji souvenir. We will have the chance for a guided tasting of 3-4 sake and sake drinks with a selection of snacks and dishes that pair well with rice wine. Limited event to 6 people RSVP Join our local sake expert in a modern studio in Daikanyama that has everything you need to enjoy a rice wine (sake) food pairing and then a fun painting session with our friendly group of local instructors. Our sake selection comes from a famous brewery at the bast of Mt. Fuji and our painting sessions will give you a chance to make your own special handmade souvenir painting – a hommage to other famous depictions of Mt. Fuji. We will share the best sake, teach you about the basics of rice wine and how to pair rice wine with food. Then our painting instructor will help us create our own paintings! All you need to think about is where you will hang your masterpiece. Highlights: Sake Tasting of various rice wines from Takesago Brewery at the base of Mt. Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture lead by a local expert. Pairings with local snacks and sweets Basic explanation of rice wine production and how to choose and pair Sake with food. Instructor led painting session inspired by various famous depictions of Japan’s most iconic mountain. Our painting teachers will provide an apron to protect your clothing but we suggest wearing casual clothes as there are sometimes stains from the acrylic paints we use for the studio session. After you RSVP we will message you a payment link to secure your spot.
