🔶About the Tour
The current Imperial Palace, especially the East Garden (Kōkyo Higashi Gyoen), was once the site of the magnificent Edo Castle during the Edo Period. Edo Castle was protected by inner and outer moats, with numerous gates built along them. This tour will take you from the main gate of the outer moat, Tokiwabashi Gate, to the main gate of the inner moat, Ōte-mon, as we walk toward the castle's central area.
Admission to the Imperial Palace East Garden is free.
This is a joint event with a Japanese group, and many Japanese participants will attend. Those who wish to socialize and interact with Japanese people are also very welcome! Commentary will be provided in Japanese and English (simultaneous interpretation).
