Derrick san's card game has been fun so let's do it again. I think Gaby san has them now. I'll also bring some topics again to talk about in the question forms so in case you don't know certain grammatical structures you'll be able to learn and start using them right then and there. Bring a pen and paper for questions.
No speaking English allowed other than asking questions or explaining the grammar or vocabulary. You won't get thrown out if you keep talking in English. But, if it starts to get long, let's remind each other to speak in Japanese in Japanese; にほんごで おねがいします, which means "In Japanese, please". That is a great practice in itself.
They have a wide variety of delicious vegetarian food selection at the restaurant. If you aren't hungry, there's no need to order food there. But, they do ask us to purchase at least a drink or some small item to show respect to their hospitality.
When you click on the link "Mr. Natural", the Google Map shows a place in Spain. We are not meeting in Barcelona. The address of Mr. Natural is correct so please copy and paste for the directions/map on Google Map.
About The Meeting:
I teach private Japanese lessons here in Austin and I host these Japanese conversation practice meetings. We'll be focusing mainly on speaking, not explaining grammar and so forth. However, I encourage you to bring a pen and paper and take notes and ask as many questions as you like. Even if you're just starting out and don't have much confidence saying very simple things, don't feel intimidated. Come practice saying those things that you CAN! Set yourself a goal to learn at least one new word/expression and to use it when you come back the week after.
If you can't read hiragana, this meeting may not be for you, but you are welcome to come anyway. And, you are always welcome to contact me for private lessons so you can speak a lot more at these meetings!
