I also would like to present some gifts.

just in case you don't know of it yet, here's the leading free online japanese dictionary:

For a reference to many grammatical concepts:

To aide your building of vocabulary, heres a site that has interactive software and teaches you pronunciation, kanji reading, and makes you practice writing back. There is a standard mode which covers all, a writing mode, and a speed mode:

If you are proficient enough in Japanese to at least write simple paragraphs and want someone to check what you wrote, I would use lang - 8. It works like Live journal or myspace in that you keep a journal online but, you write in the language you're learning. Other native speakers then check and correct your entries. You can also check other Japanese people's entries that they made in English:

IF you're looking to meet Japanese people living in Japan right now here's one forum with people looking for English native speakers to help them:

I haven't gone to any meetings yet but a few of you guys know me.

Anyway, enjoy.

Anyone try Kanji box on facebook? I'm using it as a fun way to improve my ability to read kanji. I'd love to see your score.

If you request me as a friend, mention the meetup in case I can't quite remember your name. :)
