It's almost time again to check out the beautiful cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival. This year I want to put in place some more definite guidelines and plans to help this event be an even greater success for us.
Please do not RSVP to this Meetup merely because you plan to go to the Botanical Garden on Saturday. Only RSVP if you actually plan to Meet up with the Japanese Culture Club of NYC on Saturday. If you plan to attend the event on your own or with another group, please don't RSVP.
Rally Points and Times:
Morning between 10:30 and 11am: Let's Meet on the steps of Brooklyn Museum on Eastern Parkway (as pcitured). The Brooklyn Museum is located between the train most people take to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and the Garden. The exact address of the Brooklyn Museum is 200 Eastern Parkway.
11:10 am: Let's Enter the Brooklyn Botanical Garden at 150 Eastern Parkway together as a group. The entire agenda for the many events taking place on Saturday is posted here (http://www.bbg.org/visit/event/sakura_matsuri_2013#/tabs-1). We can decide what sounds most interesting and share different events in smaller groups.
1:30 pm: Lunch at Cherry Esplanade Stage: Let's have lunch together as a Meetup and decide how we want to spend the rest of the afternoon. There is a Japanese Anime band called Asterplace playing at 2pm at the Cherry Esplanade Stage.
