Are you Japanese, or do you have Japanese family or friends?

I have a Japanese friend. People think my name is Japanese -- its not.

If you got a chance to visit Japan or live there, where would you go?

I don't even know where I ought to go. I for sure want to visit rural areas and Harajuku.

What made you interested in learning the Japanese language or culture?

When I learned that anime is from Japan, I was interested. They said and did weird things I didn't understand. I'm also a nutritionist, so Japanese diet is a topic of big discussion.

Introduction

I used to be all up in the Japanese culture. I'm more calm now, but I still get my daily "You have a Friend in Japan" update from a website of an ex-pat who's lived there for a while. I love sushi. And I love learning about subcultures emerging.
