Are you Japanese, or do you have Japanese family or friends?

I have a ton of Japanese friends.

If you got a chance to visit Japan or live there, where would you go?

I plan on making a trip later this year to work in one of the sakaguras. Several cities in Niigata, Hokkaido, and also Tokyo are on my to-visit list.

What made you interested in learning the Japanese language or culture?

It started with the food. I fell in love with it when I was 5 years old. Then came the sake - which I couldn't stand for a long time - and now it's part of who I am. I'm still learning the language and hoping to find some friends who will help!

Introduction

I'm a long-time Japanese food and sake lover. I'm now a Certified Japanese Sake Sommelier (kikisakeshi) and started a company to teach people everything about nihonshu and to help them enjoy it more. Many Japanese friends here, and in Japan.
