Are you Japanese, or do you have Japanese family or friends?

I am not Japanese, but do have many Japanese friends in Japan and in other countries around the world.

If you got a chance to visit Japan or live there, where would you go?

Kobe. Or anywhere else in Kansai.

What made you interested in learning the Japanese language or culture?

When I was in high school, I met Japanese executives of Fujitsu while working in a camping goods store in North Dallas. I was quite impressed and surprised by them. That sparked my curiosity. So I started reading about and watching all things Japanese, until I eventually decided to go there myself once in college. In addition, I originally decided to study Japanese because I wanted to challenge myself to learn a hard language. Since I've started, I've hardly ever stopped!

Hi, My name is Paul Thornton. I am originally from Irving, Texas. I have just returned from completing work with the Japan Exchange & Teaching Programme (JET) and am looking for ways to use my Japanese language ability! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
