I would like to see a more structured meeting that stuck to a schedule. The topic was interesting, but ran too late. It would be good to have the talk first, making sure that it is advertised and starts on time. Then you can have networking afterwards where everyone introduces themselves, not just the new people. Then everyone who has time to stay can move around and mingle to talk to the ones they are interested in talking to. A good way of doing that is asking everyone to say what they would like to talk/network about that night as part of their individual introduction.
