Making Magic with HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery

Natalie MacLees is a front-end web developer and UI designer and is founder + principal of the interactive agency, Purple Pen Productions. In 2012 she published jQuery for Designers with Packt Publishing. She founded and runs the jQuery LA Users' Meet-up Group and together with Noel Saw she heads up the Southern California WordPress User’s Meet-up Group. She was also the lead organizer for WordCamp Los Angeles 2013 and organized the first annual Website Weekend LA. She makes her online home at

Racer: a Chrome Experiment

Michael Anthony and Andy Thelander from Active Theory in Venice will be 
sharing their insight into the Google Chrome Experiment: Racer. 

Racer is a multi-player, multi-device Chrome Experiment. A retro-style slot car game played across screens just using the mobile web : Active Theory worked closely with the Creative Lab team in NY, by building and refining user experience, implementing motion design and web socket communication. In parallel to the Desktop and Mobile experience, a table installation was built that debuted at Google I/O along with mobile flight cases that travelled to the Creative Lab exhibition in Cannes.
