Dearie by Bob Spitz; The Fifties - A Women's Oral History by Brett Harvey; America's Women by Gail Collins; Truman by David McCullough; The Candy Bombers by Andrei Cherny.

What's your favorite nonfiction book ever?

I don't have one favorite. Author Amy Tan is interesting ('saving fish from drowning - gotta' love it!).

What's a novel that you read for a high school or college requirement that really stayed with you?

Silas Marner; Babbit

Military Brat. Spent teen years in Berlin, Germany, during the Cold War. Moved to San Francisco in '67 during "The Revolution" in the streets. I am now retired and compiling a book of letters mother kept during her lifetime.
