Anne, I have a grand nephew, my mom's first great grandson due Jul 17, love the summer babies!!
I have been going through some papers, etc. in my home office from when I was working.  I saw a counter intel briefing and at the end was a list of books/papers that were referenced concerning spies, counter intel.  If I don't forget I plan to bring a list of some of these books in the event that you or anyone would be interested in adding this to a Fall reading suggestion list.    See you all in June, bev

Hi to all.
This is just to let you know that the June meeting will be the final one until September.  I have a grandchild due to appear in July and experience tells me that there's one thing August has in common with December: nobody wants to come to a book club meeting in either so I stopped scheduling August meetings some time back.
The June meeting will center around a fictional character who has been around for more than 100 years and shows no sign of dropping out of popular culture, Sherlock Holmes.  The choices are your selection from original stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, a modern novel sanctioned by the Doyle estate, and some fiction and nonfiction related to or spun off. The book list is on the meeting website so see what looks intriguing and sign up for June.
In the mean time, any theme suggestions for future meetings are most welcome, either by email to me or posting them on the group's discussion board.

Please Note: If you hit "REPLY", your message will be sent to everyone on this mailing list ([address removed])
