Thanks so much for putting this all together. This was our first time getting together and it was awesome. What great people that we have met. Can't wait to get back together. We are still feeling the walk but it was so much worth it. Thanks again.

Great time. Fortunately, the walk was worth it because we found the horses.

The trail was long, but the horses made it worth the hike!

I was thinking about going out the night before to camp there and then meet at the observation tower or wherever in the morning. Any other campers interested in looking for wildlife or shooting off the tower to try the sunrise?

They have great camper/RV spaces. It's a great campground. I was thinking Friday night only, but then I heard about the Astronomy club and all they are doing. Sounds like a nice full weekend!

If they have cabins I'd be interested in camping. I don't have any camping gear though. When I went before we saw bison but no horses.

FYI...The Alachua Astronomy Club is planning to arrive in the evening for stargazing (weather permitting) with their telescopes. The park is sponsoring this event and plans to have a campfire, smores, and hayrides.

      Friday night or sat night?

      January 12, 2014

  • Debbie B.

We will be parking at the Visitors Center and Observation Tower lot.

    January 12, 2014

  • Rob B.

Or, if anyone is on the westside, I can pick them up, if they can't make it to the mall otherwise.

    January 11, 2014

  • Rob B.

If anyone needs a ride, I'm planning on meeting with the group at the mall and have a seat and very cramped back seat available.

Hey Guys, it was brought to my attention that this is Superbowl Sunday. Since I am not a football fan I had no idea. Should I move the date to the following Sunday? I don't want anyone to miss out on their football fix!

    January 7, 2014

    • Gayle L.

Opps I can't miss the Superbowl. Let me know if you reschedule. :)

    January 8, 2014
