Shelley,

The forum is actually set up that way. You can actually set up your account so that on a daily basis if there is a new post or thread started on the forum about a meetup, it will email you and give you a list of thread topics that have been added or been added to so that you can then check the forum to get the lowdown on what's coming up. So I'd say you have a great idea!! lol if you have any trouble enabling this feature just post and I'm sure folks would be happy to help out. In fact I think Frank included the "how to" on this in his email last night. Good luck and hope you make it to a meetup, its a real good bunch of folks.

Maybe we could send a e-mail or two to let everyone know that a new subject/discussion is on the forum and to alert us to look for new news and activities, that why we are not bombared with small talk and buisness promotions. Just a thought. this event I finally do hoipe to attend.

Hi Gang,

Okay, for the record discussions should be held on the forums.  The mailing list is really more for coordinating and organizing meetups.  The reason for this is we don't want to overload peoples email box with discussions that they are not interested in to the point they ignore email from Meetup and miss the emails with the information of what we as a group are doing.  We do want to encourage people to communicate with one another we generally do not sweat an information seeking question on the mailing list but they also usually don't generate this much interest :-).

Speaking of which since there is a lot of interest in doing the bridges at sunset (and ironically it is actually the second time its been mentioned to me recently) - so it will be a meetup in the near future (I'm going to post a message in the forums soliciting ideas).

Anyway - one last thing for those of you who do not make the forums part of your regular surfing habit but would like to keep up on the discussions there you can tell Meetup.com to send update emails tracking the message board by going to the forums and clicking "Track This Message Board" near the top of the screen.

Frank

Also I think business propositions should be kept to private communications. If someone really hasn't tied up Ralph and Frank and they just haven't gotten around to responding to all this and I'm out of line, I'll humbly stand corrected.
