  • Capturing Leads & Lead Management using Popular CRM's and CMS's
*Due to the fires in Northern California, we need to push this out a week as James is evacuated at this time. This meetup will now happen on the 18th October, all things considered.* This Meetup will show how you can integrate, sync and optimize lead capture on your CMS using Hubspot, with comparisons to Marketo and Pardot. Our own fabulous James Foreman will show you the integration process and best practices for both Joomla and Wordpress. In today's digital marketing universe there are a number of incredible systems to use for advanced lead nurturing that converts a prospect to an MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead), and ultimately to an SQL (Sales Qualified Lead). By planning and developing a website that intelligently delivers your marketing funnel content to your targeted prospects and current customers, you will get the results the website is intended for, from the beginning. James will dive into how you can setup an infrastructure that will give you the lead capture, analytics and ease of use that you and your clients need to grow a lead pipeline. Meetup Highlights: 1. Learn how to strategize and plan for your CMS to CRM integration. 2. Explore the differences between CRM's and which one might be best for specific types of companies. 3. Tips and techniques for nurturing leads through your marketing funnel from top, middle to bottom. 4. Q and A: Send questions ahead, or ask during the presentation, and James will share information and resources. To submit a question email [masked] . James Foreman is currently a co-founder of RolloutSF, providing Marketing, Design, Development and Consulting services. Over the past 5 years James has been leading marketing and development teams for top companies in Silicon Valley and San Francisco. We need your donations to keep meetup going. Please Chip In (https://secure.meetup.com/joomla-bay-area/contribute/) what you can. Thanks!

  • Test it: 3.7 Router
Hello Group, Apologies for the short notice here. Our previously planned February meetup fell through and rather than totally cancel, we're going to have some fun and help the Joomla! Project at the same time. The long, long awaited new router is being included in Joomla 3.7 and it needs to be tested. Not only that but we need to know how it works. Why is the new router cool? Because it can remove all those ItemIDs from your URLs (said in it's most simplistic form). Brian Teeman has put together a very nice testing tutorial and we will do it together on Wednesday night. Here's how it will work: See https://brian.teeman.net/joomla/874-first-looks-joomla-3-7-router Your job will be to do steps 1 and 2 BEFORE the meetup on Wednesday night. Step 1, create a dev site. Step 2, test all your links and make sure they work. Use a link checker to verify this. We will do the rest of the steps together during the meetup on our own dev sites. This is an online meetup only so I suspect we won't do a lot of screen sharing since we'll be on our own monitors doing the work. GoToMeeting will mainly be a conference bridge with periodic screen sharing. We all need to know how this works. We all need to understand the risks in doing this on a live site. We all need to test it. So come and let's do it together!
