DISTANCE is ~12 mi roundtrip.
ELEVATION GAIN is just under 2000 ft gained.
FEES: None. Of course, if you carpool, please compensate your driver for gas!
DURATION: Should be finished by early/mid afternoon.
PET FRIENDLY? Yes. Bring a muzzle (you shouldn't need be told to bring a leash).
SKILL LEVEL is challenging, mostly because of elevation and elevation gain. No whining!
TERRAIN is riparian/alpine forest, on rocky/dirt forest service trail. The elevation is high, and the last bit of the trail to Hillsboro Peak is also a bit steep. Please be okay with the elevation!
WEATHER is TBA.
AFTERWARDS we may stop for late lunch/beers. Probably Pepper Pot or Sparky's in Hatch, NM, or Blue Moon Bar in Radium Springs, NM (please bring cash).
