This hike is highly recommended for those of you with a spunk of adventure; which starts off easy but will become slightly difficult with some rock climbing, to a summit where we are going to watch the sunset. This trail may or may not feature a waterfall (just depends on Las Cruces' rainfall) so we’ll see how it looks that day. Haha! We will hike to the waterfall, ascend to the summit, watch the sunset, and then start our descent.
We will meet at the trailhead for Soledad Canyon no later than 5:30pm to begin the hike. This hike is about 3.2 miles long, with an elevation gain of 879 feet; it should take us roughly 3 hours (round trip).
Since we will finish after sunset, you are required to bring good hiking boots, H2O to stay hydrated, snacks (to refuel those muscles), a flashlight, your camera for good pictures, but most importantly, bring your adventurous self along!
