Morning stroll at Desert Trails Community Park
Start your day off with a morning stroll thru Desert Trails Community Park.
This will be an out and back walk. This may change as/if the group decides to go thru the park and come back a different way.
INFO: Desert Trails Park is a hidden park within the Sonoma Ranch neighborhood. If you drive too fast you may miss the entrance, which looks like a gated community from the streets. Other than the mostly pavement trail, the park looks natural and raw with lots of shrubs around. It's great for dog walkers. Once towards the center of the park, you get a beautiful view of Las Cruces to the west, and the golf course and Organs to the east.
Expect the walk to take about 30 minutes to walk the trails from Sonora Springs through the park over to Mission Rd and then back. So, we'll do this 2x to get in a 60 minute walk and use different trails for each out and back. The trails have small ups and downs.
Dogs are welcome.
Since this is a morning walk, please come prepared with proper attire.
TRAILS: a mix of concrete and dirt/sand.
WHERE TO MEET: the parking lot on Sonora Springs Rd (between E. Springs Rd and Sedona Hills Parkway)
