This is for those of you who want to run but can't make the Sunday or Thursday Fun Runs or anyone who just wants to run with a group.
Let's get together and run in Central Park. This run will be very beginner-friendly, but we welcome runners at all levels. We will be running anywhere from 2-4 miles depending on what everyone is looking to do. We will meet at Columbus Circle behind the Gold statue to warm up stretch and have a chance to meet everyone and coordinate the run.
The New York Running company at the Time Warner Center (located on the 2nd floor) has changing rooms, and free bag check also has lockers but you have to bring your own lock and closes at 9pm mon-sat so we should finish our run before then so people can get there things before it closes. Restrooms are available at the Time Warner center as well. The water fountains are now *closed*, so hydrate beforehand or bring a drink.
From there we will jog counter-clockwise on center drive then onto east drive. If you want a more advanced run with hills, we can run full loops around the park for an easier run with less hills we can do a lope around the reservoir. In your RSVP please include your goal pace, distance, and what you will be wearing so that we can find you easily. If you're a new runner and are not sure of your pace, don't worry, we will figure that out for you once we get out there.
We can start off as a group and run as a group if everyone wants to run at the same pace but others are more than welcome to break up into smaller groups for those of you who might want to run a little faster.
For every run, we will end where we began to make it easier to meet after everyone finishes their runs. Once everyone is together again we can find a place to eat/drink nearby. We can use this time to talk about running in general and about everyone's fitness goals for 2013.
