A Study of Freemasonry

On January 18th  the Masonic Philosophical Society will be hosting a study group. Each month a different topic, ranging from philosophy and science to religion and metaphysics, is discussed and debated. Please arrive at 15 minutes early so we can save you a seat.

Brother Chris Osborn will be presenting the question "what is sacrifice?" Throughout all ages, in all myths, Man has been presented with the ultimate sacrifice; asked to give up what he wants to achieve what he must. But what is sacrifice? Does it really exist or is it a conjure of our minds? Does Freemasonry ask its Initiates of personal-sacrifice? And if so, what does it really mean? Join us as Brother Osborn takes through the journey of our belief of self-importance, personal understanding and what we truly value.

Join us for this month's study group.

This group for men and women, which is open to the public, is where non-members can learn more about Freemasonry, as well as meet local Freemasons.

I very much enjoyed our discussion and left the group with an expanded understanding of the definition of sacrifice. Grateful to all of those that came to share and assist me in continuing to think outside the box.
