On May 31st, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. the Masonic Philosophical Society will be hosting a study group at the Corinth Library. Each month a different topic, ranging from philosophy and science to religion and metaphysics, is discussed and debated. Please arrive at 12:45 P.M. so the discussion can begin promptly at 1:00 P.M.
May's topic will be conducted by Brother Katie Cumsille on Freemasonry and Consequences: what is hell? After a short lecture, a discussion and debate by the group will follow.
The belief in hell has long been a part of Man's existence and human speculation. Many ponder its true existence; whether or not it is a tangible place or an internal state of being. Utilizing one of the greatest classics, Dante's Inferno, as an allegorical springboard, we will explore the attributes of hell from a Masonic perspective and ultimately for our own selves.
Join us for this month's study group.
This group, which is open to the public, is where non-members can learn more about Freemasonry, as well as meet local Freemasons.
