I WILL NOT BE ATTENDING THE JULY 12 CONCERT BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU, THERE'S A BUNCH OF PEOPLE GOING, SO SHOULD YOU
Every Friday from now through August 2nd. I'll be hosting the Starlight Musicals Outdoor Concert at Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale.
This has turned into a Multi-Meetup event and everyone is welcome. Last week Big Dave from Tri-county and Jim from the Bison group joined us. So no matter what Meetup group you are in, you are welcomed.
(leave your petty bickering & rivaling at home)
I set up my tent and bring two folding tables for people who bring food or drinks to share. This Friday I'm not bringing anything to eat or share (cook has the day off)
I set up in the grass at the edge of the parking lot, just across from the tennis courts. If you are standing in the back looking at the stage, we'll be along the back to the far right. Its far enough from the stage that we can enjoy a conversation without shouting, but not so far that we can't hear the music.
I arrive around 5 to set-up and get a parking spot close by. Look for my Dark Red Toyota 4Runner with a red kayak on top. We won't be far from my car. If you can't find us, my cell number is[masked].
Please Note: This is not a pitch-in. You are welcome to bring whatever you want for dinner or to share (coolers are allowed) There are food vendors there so please don't feel like you have to bring something. The last couple of concerts people have been bringing their own dinners or ordering from one of the venders.
Bring a chair, blanket or whatever you're comfortable on & an umbrella just in case.
This will be our fourth concert this season, we have been averaging more than 25 to 30 people each time. Its become a place to see old friends and make new ones.
(Concert starts at 7, unless you want to walk be there early, parking fills up fast)
