We had 9 fun loving people for a great day in NYC. We visited the Grace Church Fair, met some of the artists, had lunch at a Greek restaurant and went to visit the World Trade Center. It was such an emotional experience for all. With the time change we got to see the site in daylight and with the street lights on. Afterwards some us had to get back and some went to the World Financial Center. Thanks everyone for a wonderful day.

Great day, great fun with good friends! Starting with our visit to Grace Church, to the yummy lunch ( great choice of restaurant) to the amazing and touching finale, visiting the 911 Memorial! Could not have asked for a nicer day. Thanks Linda for once again arranging a terrific outing!

Hi Linda. I'll see you at Grace Church at 12:30! Sorry about the confusion with Grand Central. I saw "Christmas Fair" and thought it meant the Christmas market at Grand Central. I'm a little thick. Got it now! Thank you!

      Looking forward to seeing you!

Hi all, just to let you know the subway stop at the World Trade Center will be closed for the next few weeks due to cleanup from Sandy. We can go to stops before and try to walk or we can re-schedule the World Trade Center and visit the village or other part of the city. We can decide tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience with the subway system.

Sorry Linda I am a bit tired but have fun

Since many people are very confused about this event I am not getting a permit to the World Trade Center. We can go and view it from the outside. Quite frankly I work very hard during the week and like my weekends to be fun. Now I am dreading this outing as people are making it out to be something it is not. For those of you who are still interested - I look forward to seeing you at the Grace Church, 802 Broadway on Sunday, 12:30.

Mates, my apologies if I offended anyone with my comment. Yes we all work hard all week (including the organizers), and look forward to fun weekends; just thought we should be careful not to "expect" things to be done for us. No ill-will meant, rather kindness and gratitude.

So sorry this almost turned into a circus - we will all have a great time.

I would love to do this, Linda! We'll have Alan as our tour guide? That would be awesome! Count me in! Does anyone want to take the train in? Are we meeting at Grand Central at 12:30 for the shopping?

Hi all listen up - we are meeting at the Grace Church, look above, 802 Broadway & 10th at 12:30. We will have time to look around and then head down on the subway to the World Trade Center. Alan is not our guide - his tour is filled - there are no tours available that day. We will be self-guided but there is still a fee to go inside.

Hi all - there is a charge for a permit to visit the World Trade Center. It is $2 per person. I will book the group for a 2:30 - 3:00 pm reservation but I must know that you are definitely coming. Please re-confirm and you can give me the $2 when we meet at Grace Church. This is a fee for the World Trade Center, I am not making any $ on this. Alan volunteers there and just informed me. Thanks so much Alan.

My good friend Elana is a great artist and will have some of her craft work at the Fair. We can browse, shop and then take the subway down to see the new World Trade Center. Lets spend a day in the City exploring downtown. Maybe we can get a jump on our holiday shopping.
