For what it’s worth I have no issue with traveling wherever for the event.  No matter where you plan an event someone is always going to complain about the location.  Even if you calculated a meeting place that was geometrically equidistant to every single person that was invited, someone would complain about it being too far.


Best to just plan events in a variety of locations and wish for the best.  I hope to make the next one!

I wanted to come, but two parent-teacher conferences took precedence.
I can't believe Johnson Countians were wining about coming to Westport. Us folks out in eastern Jackson County come to a disproportionate number of activities in Lenexa, which is about 40 miles from my house in Independence. Westport is practically right smack-dab in the middle of the metropolis. I'll happily travel to all points of the compass for a beer, but if someone in OP thinks Westport is too far, come on. . . .
