Manor Fest Free Streetcar Day
Details
In 2015, Manor Fest got its start as a diy music festival in the basement of a house. Ten bands performed one night at The Shawnee Manor in Shawnee, Kansas.
Ten years on, the event is still going strong with 60 bands and 20 stages across two weekends.
May 30 is the only free day of the festival, with musical performances on and off stops along the KC Streetcar route:
1 p.m. – Kemper Museum (Art Museums stop), 4420 Warwick Blvd., KCMO
3:30 p.m. – Central Library (Library stop), 14 W. 10th St., KCMO
6 p.m. – KC Current Plaza (Riverfront stop), 1460 E. Front St., KCMO
The marching band Sass-a-Brass leads attendees from the first two locations to the KC Streetcar stop and from the streetcar to the next venue.
We’ll meet at Kemper Museum at 1pm and try visit all the three venues by street car and make an extra stop at Metro Center to pick free Streetcar Riverfront Extension poster at Visit KC office.
I hope to eat around Riverfront, hopefully by when we’ll all be happily tired and hungry. Please RSVP here to help the festival calculate headcount.
