• What we'll do
Our Meetup group is doing great. We meet the First and Third Wednesday of every month at the Empire at 6.15pm. Everyone has said it it great to have a place to go to meet great like minded people and practice speaking Spanish without feeling like you have to know ii all. There is already buzz in the group and new people arriving each week is keeping it interesting. I always bring the tarjetas so if you want them just ask me. There are questions about preguntas about presentaciones, trabajar, familia y amistades, Para dar información, pasa tiempos, mis amigos y tu pais, so you have some ideas for conversation if you want to, or just turn up and have fun meeting people who also want to hablar Español. At 7.00pm the native speakers and confident Intermediate level speakers start to arrive so after an hour of talking some of us are happy to move into the second group, it's been great cause it is happening organically and naturally.
Nice bunch of people with interesting stories similar to our own. So come and join us you won't regret it. Just one other thing, it's not for absolute beginners you need to have some Spanish and be able to contribute to the conversation so come and practice what you know.
We meet every First and Third Wednesday of every month at 6.00 - 7.30 in 'The Empire'. The Spanish Language Group Meetup is at 7.00 in the same venue but at the front of the bar.
Who is it for?
Do you already speak some español but can't find anyone to practice with? Or are you an elementary to Intermediate speaker and are worried you are losing your hard earned Spanish language?....Or do you just want to brush up your Spanish and practice all the basic topics again and then move onto more complex language? Do you want to practice without feeling silly or awkward.... or.... are you quite good already and just want to develop your fluency?
This is the Meetup for you!
For those of us who are confident we can join The Spanish Language Meetup anytime from[masked]pm after our group. This group is for Intermediate and Native speakers. The organisers David and Rodrigo have kindly agreed to allow us to meet before their group but we want to respect their choice to only join their group if we have a reasonable level of competency.
