About the Group - NC17
We are a group of four college educated gamers (three teachers and an engineer) age 30-43 who enjoy story driven games. The current campaign is 80% role play and 20% combat. It is rated NC-17 for mature themes, horror driven violence, and frequent salty language. We on occasion do wander off into out of game discussions, so if that annoys you we might not be the right group for you. In game jokes can occasionally get off color and can be politically incorrect, but they are always meant in game and not as something harmful or what we believe in real life.
What we're looking for
We need two to three people willing to commit to playing every other week on a Friday night from 6 to midnight in West Bend. Punctuality is important to us, if you can't make a 6pm game by 6pm/6:15 please do not commit. We have families and other responsibilities too.
About the Campaign
Gangs of Kaer Maga takes place in the Pathfinder's World in Golarion's future. The year is 4969 AR. 254 years ahead of the standard Galorian date. Many believe it is the End of Days. The bonds holding Rovagug's cage seem to be failing. The gods have distanced themselves. Magic has faded and warped. Humanoids and monsters have all but disappeared. Cults, recidivists, and apostates abound. Yet people still have to find some way to live day by day. Your characters are part of a street gang in the city of Kaer Maga, fighting to survive in a city where calling someone cut throat is compliment. So close your rattle box and sharpen your shiv cutter, and show Kaer Maga you're not just another paper brick. You'll have to be smart and have to be quick, because if you roll the wrong way the fall is going to be a long one.
Gangs is a swords and sorcery campaign which may give people the wrong idea. It is more Solomon Kane then Connan the Barbarian. If I had to compare it to a period in real world history I would put it at somewhere between 1750 and 1850. Flintlock firearms are prevalent. Fashion is more late Tudor period to early Victorian. People light their homes with whale oil and cook on iron stoves. The printing press has allowed information to spread like never before. Daily newspapers are the latest rage.
