  • Friday 4th until Monday 7th August 2017.

This is a level 4 walk in some of the remotest and beautiful scenery in the West Highlands of Scotland. You will need to have a good level of fitness for this walk which is a mixture of estate paths, rough track, wet bog and at least two river crossings with no bridges. These are big mountain days in extremely remote countryside and should not be underestimated. If you have any questions or reservations about your fitness and ability to achieve this walk, please contact me in advance of booking to discuss.

Day one - Walk from the layby on the A832 at Corrie Hallie, near to the Dundonnell Hotel, into Shenevall where we will cross our first river. Continuing on into Gleann na Muice, we will setup our base camp to give us easy access to the Munros for the coming days. Total distance about 10 km and taking about 3-4 hours.

Day two - From our camp we will head out to tackle the two Munros, Ruadh Stac Mor and the remotest of them all, A'Mhaighdean, in a circular route bringing us back to base camp. This is a big day of about 23 km with 8 hours walking.

Day three - Again, from our base camp, head out on our longest day in the hills to tackle the three Munros of Beinn Tarsuinn, Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair and Sgurr Ban. If we make good time and there's no reason why we shouldn't, we will continue along the ridge to final of the Fisherfield 6, Beinn a'Chlaidheimh, recently demoted from Munro status. Another big day of about 24 km and 10 hours walking.

Day four - Pack up base camp and return to the vehicles past Shenevall. Once back at the main road it's just a short drive to the Dundonnell Hotel for tea and cakes. 10 km and 3-4 hours.

If you require to borrow some gear for this trip, please contact me beforehand. I have tents, sleeping bags, rucksacks and stoves.

We will meet at 1300 in the layby south of the Dundonnell Hotel on the A832 at Coirre Hallie.

Ideally we would organise car share in advance to minimise our environmental impact.

Cost is only £120 per person (maximum group size is 8) Book early to avoid disappointment at http://www.kingdomguides.co.uk/product/fisherfield
