Hey all you acros out there. Yes, Meetup has been quiet. At the moment we are meeting at a gym in Seoul on most Sundays. -- Who should join?...Anyone can join regardless of yoga experience. It's a physically playful group of people who learn to trust and share new acro yoga poses with each other. We are all about laughter and learning with a keen sense of the need for safety. The poses we do are while lifted off the ground so though it is tons of fun there is a slight element of precaution.

-- Why?...This is simply a club designed to have fun. It's all group effort, everyone jumping in to help learn how to base and fly (gotta see it to believe it!).

-- What to expect?...A lot of laughter. Remember when you were a kid and played airplane while someone lifted you up on their feet? You immediately squealed, "weeeeee!!!!". We get to do that and feel that all the time.

A typical session is roughly two hours. First, there are yoga warmups with some partner pairing trust exercises. No need to bring a partner, we'll have one for you. Second, we commence with the flying: one person usually lying down with their feet up (base), one person on said feet doing different poses (flyer), and how ever many people standing near by to help with poses and hands to help in case of falling (spotters). There will be moments you dismount less than gracefully which is part of the experience, can be humbling, and usually creating giggles galore. Last, we trade of therapeutic massage techniques designed to relax and release pressure and tension from supporting others' body weight.
