안녕하세요 여러분! Hello, everyone!
We're going to try something different for this language exchange. We will use lessons from the website Talk To Me In Korean (http://www.talktomeinkorean.com/) as a guide for this meetup. It is best that everyone be familiar with the basics of the Korean language for this exchange. Here is a helpful link for learning hangeul (http://www.talktomeinkorean.com/category/lessons/learn-hangeul/).
Beginners will go over TTMIK Level 1, lessons 5-15 (http://www.talktomeinkorean.com/category/lessons/level-1/?sort=date_asc) and then engage in group/partnered conversation.
Intermediate learners can go over TTMIK Level 3, lessons 1-10 (http://www.talktomeinkorean.com/category/lessons/level-3/?sort=date_asc) and then engage in group/partnered conversation, or just engage in conversation.
Advanced learners can go over TTMIK Level 7, lessons 1-10 (http://www.talktomeinkorean.com/category/lessons/level-7/) and then engage in group/partnered conversation, or just engage in conversation.
Please read/review/look over the lessons on TTMIK, and come prepared to converse in Korean. Here are two lists of adjectives (http://sydneytoseoul.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/100-most-useful-korean-adjectives.pdf) and verbs (http://sydneytoseoul.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/top-100-most-useful-korean-verbs2.pdf) that will help you build sentences with what you will learn. Memorize a few if you can.
Any advanced or fluent speakers that want to help others learn Korean are more than welcome to come! This can also be a time to practice speaking English.
There is no charge for this meetup. However, I do ask that you purchase at least one item while at Mozart Bakery. Our venue hosts will greatly appreciate our patronage. ;)
Don't forget your paper and pencil! See you there!
**Remember, if you decide that you won't or can't come to this meetup, be sure to change your RSVP accordingly. Thank you!**
