Are we really going to be able to fit 40 people in the private room?

I can't make it for the dinner but probably after dinner. Keep your phone on, Paul.

Paul. If you come dressed up as the Santa Claus, I will come dressed up as the Santa's helper, the Elf. haha

Haha... ho ho ho. Nope. I've lost too much weight! :)

Sean would like to hold a singing contest (he emailed me). I'm working on making sure there will be a karaoke machine, but if someone has one that will make it easier (one member who has one can't make it). The contest will have prizes.

There also will be another contest that I've thought of... with a real prize. Looking forward to the party & seeing everyone!

Is the rumor true that Paul will be coming dressed as a Santa Claus? haha

We will have a $10 "White Elephant" gift exchange. People playing will bring a $10-or-less wrapped gift. Everyone gets a number, and #1 gets to pick a gift, and open it. Then #2 can decide to "steal" the gift #1 has, or pick a gift to open. It continues until all gifts are opened.

For those that don't know how it works, here is a video:

I visited some places in Annandale to see options, and will visit at least one more tomorrow. Palace (new inside decor a year ago) has offered to have us use a semi-private area with BBQ tables. Il Mee has that large semi-private room we took over for a Saturday event - fits 20+ ppl. Having it at a restaurant means it can be $10 to $30 per person (based on what people order), so it is cheaper. Renting a community center or non-restaurant space increases costs by $10-$20 per person.

I just posted under Sean's suggestions for the party, however I'll post here, too. I suggested Woomi Garden in Wheaton. I had my son's Tol there and they didn't charge me to reserve a room, as long as I ordered food. $700 got me a full course meal for 35 people, including non-alc beverages. It wasn't a catering menu, I just pre-ordered food ahead of time for the group. Also was able to bring in some outside food as well.
