We hope everyone enjoyed their summer break! Autumn is here, and, historically this is the time to start dropping the knowledge and experience on people who you care about. We wanted to follow the trend, so, come and join us for the second edition of krakow.emit()!
The first talk will be delivered by Przemysław Zieliński:
"How Deep Is Your Work?" [in Polish]
Deep work is the ability to concentrate on a cognitively demanding task. The talk is intended to tackle problems of frequent distractions software developers face. Additionally it will be focused on importance of focus in work, along with mentioning psychological and neurological arguments. On top of that, there will be shared routines and rituals that may help with performing deep work.
The second talk will be delivered by Piotr Franczyk:
"RxJS in Practice: Tips, Tricks and Best Practices" [PL/ENG]
The talk will cover multiple real-life scenarios of using RxJS to build an application in a functional reactive manner. We will look at many common mistakes and pitfalls like leaking memory, causing side effects or simply not leveraging the operator composition to achieve terse, predictable code. On top of that, many reusable patterns will be presented that help to deal with those situations in a good way.
The cases will start from most basic ones (like importing the library) to managing state and handling errors. All examples are framework agnostic.
