Stark Creek Trail

This is an out and back hike that will total just over 6-miles with 2,000 feet of gain. There is a lot of uphill hiking that is a bit steep in a few areas. We will utilize a section of the Kern Gateway Trail to get to the Stark Creek Trail, then continue up Stark Creek to Cow Flat Road. We will follow Cow Flat Road for a short distance to a trail that will take us to a nice peak for our lunch break. After our break we will head back down to the cars.
This is a nice well used trail that is very scenic and has great views of Kern Canyon. Bring plenty of water and a snack. The hike should take around 4 hours to complete.
