What connection do you have to Hip-Hop? It doesn't have to be substantial, but are you a fan, artist, enthusiast, etc.? Please elaborate a bit.

I have only been a fan for a few years; I grew up listening to Metallica and Black Sabbath. I enjoy hip hop because of the message it delivers and the energy that the artist gives to it. I don't want to seem like some hipster dude but most of today's mainstream rap is far off the roots of what hip hop used to be. I will never be interested in beat making or rapping, but I want to support good local artists making a difference through their music.

What do you plan to achieve once you join?

To collaborate with like minded people on all things good hip hop. To explore more of the city I grew up in. To have a good time and chill with good vibes.

Who are your favorite Hip-Hop acts?

Current: I have been listening to a lot of Atmosphere lately. He is pretty good. All of Slaughterhouse, Joell is my top guy in that. My goal is to make it out to a Gambino concert, whenever he makes one. I do listen to a lot of local LA artists like Vel the Wonder and Gavlyn. Old School: My favorite 90's rapper is Big L. That is my type of rap. Quick, fast, and punchlines that make you chuckle. I don't think old Eminem is as great as people think, yet I do think he is still good. Big Pun is a great flower as well. Kool G Rap has some clean rhymes. Some old Jadakiss does the heart warm too.

My name is Tony. I am moving back to the LA area for the first time in ten years. I am a fan of good music, no matter the genre. Looking to find some more.
