MySQL High Availability Maximized:
Achieving High Availability with MySQL is a tricky thing; there are almost as many recipies as there are cooks out there. This talk will go through the most common solutions for achieving HA with MySQL and list the pros and cons for each of them. The solutions include replication, MHA, Continuent Tungsten, DRBD, shared-disk, MySQL Cluster and more.

Max Mether, a native of Finland received his M.Sc (Eng) in Physics and Maths from Helsinki University of Technology. Max joined MySQL in 2001 starting as a Consultant and an Instructor, where he ended up creating the MySQL training program and managing the curriculum under MySQL Ab and later at Sun. Max now manages the training department at SkySQL and helps advance the MySQL ecosystem around the world. He blogs at
