Unfortunately, I believe that new opportunities for Flex development will vanish, so their's not much point in an open source Flex project.  I don't think AIR is a viable strategy long term either.

Personally, I'm going to be looking at Sencha extjs and Sencha Touch (, PhoneGap, and native Android development.

I'm going to shutdown L.A. Flex in the coming weeks. You can follow me on twitter @tombray if you'd like to hear my thoughts on what non-Flex technologies suck the least ;)
